Abstract
When the Natural Method(s) and the Natural Approach(es) are used as terms in language teaching, it can be claimed that, in particular, it refers to certain approach(es) and method(s) that are formed around certain theoretical views by certain people. These terms are often used to refer to the multiple language teaching approach(es) and method(s) that can be considered in relation to each other due to their various common characteristics. It is very difficult to mention a consensual use of the approach(es) and method(s) expressed by the terms The Natural Method(s) and The Natural Approach(es). The reasons for this kind of a relationship can be as follows; (1) references to the relevant literature, (2) the uncertainty of the conceptual limits observed in the use of approach and method as terms; and (3) the emergence of these approaches and methods as products of an evolutionary development when they are evaluated in relation to revolutionary-evolutionary developmental difference (i.e. two antagonistic concepts) in language teaching. Furthermore, the naturalistic principles of foreign and second language teaching are discussed after mentioning briefly their common origins.
