Türk insanını ve kültürünü tanımak: Almanca erasmus deneyim raporlarında kültürlerarası etkileşimin incelenmesi

In this study, impressions of Erasmus students coming from German speaking countries for their university education about Turkish society and culture are examined. Document review is used which is one of the qualitative research methods. Research is carried out over 698 Erasmus experience reports written in German language of the foreign students who participated the program between the years of 2010-2015 when they return back to their homeland. In the research to achieve content analysis MAXQDA 11 qualitative data analysis program is used to determine the different arguments and recommendations of students about Turks and Turkish Culture. Extracted data shows that Turks are in a positive social behaviour against foreigners and foreigners are well enough in social adaptation and orientation, in this way they get the chance to deeply know the Turkish Culture and life style so get satisfied and return back to their countries as ‘Turkish Cultural Envoys’. Erasmus+ Programme’s contribution to enhancing intercultural emotionality hypothesis is verified as it is understood that with the programme and efficient intercultural evolution had occurred, unprejudiced and tolerant perspective had been developed.
