Spatial distribution of precipitation in the western Taurids

In order to estimate the spatial behaviour of the orographic precipitation over the important karst areas in southern Turkey, co-kriging interpolation technique is used. Since the spatial distribution of the precipitation in this area greatly depends on the altitude, the distribution is estimated in three dimensions by the co-kriging method that takes the spatial correlation between the variables into account. This method can be used also by considering other variables affecting the precipitation distribution, such as distance from the sea, slope directions, etc. -Authors
