Abstract
Selection for the various male infertility procedures is identical to the microsurgical arena. These patients tend to be fairly healthy, younger patients, and all the procedures are performed in an outpatient setting. The robotic platform is used as an adjunct only for the microsurgical portion of the procedures once the skin incisions have been made and the tissues are exposed. Thus, body habitus and body mass index considerations are not as important as in intra-abdominal robotic applications. This is an updated chapter that illustrates a step-by-step approach to male infertility procedures utilizing newer robotic platforms, namely the da Vinci[[sup]]®[[/sup]] Xi systems.
