Abstract
Although ultrasonography is the initial imaging modality to evaluate the adnexal lesions, MR is gaining more importance and popularity as a problem solver exam. In the assessment of pathologies of the female genitalia, conventional MR sequences and dynamic contrast-enhanced MR imaging are indispensable. This chapter will review the role of diffusion-weighted imaging (DWI), in the diagnosis of ovarian lesions. Common pitfalls and technical limitations of DWI will also be addressed.
