Abstract

The asymmetric unit of the title compound, C₂₆H ₂₈O₆·2CH₃OH, contains two independent methyl 6-O-trityl-α-d-glucopyranoside molecules and four methanol solvent molecules. The rings of two methyl α-d-glucopyranoside adopt chair conformations. In the crystal, extensive intra-and intermolecular O-H..O and C-H..O hydrogen bonds link the molecules into a three-dimensional supramolecular architecture.
