Abstract

Membranous lipodystrophy is a rare disease involving tissues containing lipids. It is characterized by cystic involvement of long bones and diffuse cortical atrophy of the brain. We are presenting a case with family members who had similar lesions. We believe that heredity has an important role in the disease. Genetic counselling is necessary while bone grafting of thelesions are not indicated.
