Abstract

Nucleophilic substitution reactions of N4P4Cl 8, with di-, tri-, and tetra-functional reagents such as N-methyl-1,3-propanediamine, N,N'-methyl-1,3-propanediamine, spermidine and spermine were investigated in this study. Six novel products were isolated whose structures have been characterized by elemental analysis, mass spectrometry, 1H and 31P NMR spectroscopy. The structure of (11) was investigated by X-ray crystallography.
