Abstract
It is observed that standards have not been established in the use of fundamental concepts in the literature on teaching Turkish as a foreign or second language and also some terms are not paid enough attention to their use. Some incompatibilities are observed when drawing conceptual boundaries of the terms, establishing the oppositional relationship between close concepts and taking into account the circumstances they are used. In the article, the concepts and terms used in naming this area, which draw increasing interest every day, will be discussed.
