Abstract
Brugada syndrome is characterized by right bundle branch block, ST segment elevation in the precordial leads and sudden death caused by ventricular fibrillation. Brugada syndrome is a recently described cardiac anomaly that may be responsible for up to one half of all sudden cardiac deaths in young adults without structural heart diseases. We would like to present the anesthetic management, in the electrophysiologic study and treatment protocol with cardiodefibrilator implant, of a 3.5-year-old male patient followed up with the diagnosis of Brugada syndrome.
