Abstract
Turks have lived in various regions throughout the history by interacting with many people. Iran is the most important of these areas of interaction. Today, some of the communities that speak Turkish language live in this region. Khalaj, spoken in Iran, distinguishes itself from other Turkic languages with the old features it preserves. Khalaj is a language that undergoes a rapid process of disappearance and is in danger of extinction in the near future. Having no alphabet of its own, a writing system, literature or formal instruction, Khalaj is a quite restricted language in terms of usage and functions, which results in fewer people speaking it day by day. Ali Asgar Cemrasi, who himself is a Khalaj, has produced literary works in this language. These writings, mostly translations, were written to teach Khalaj People and other communities to love and teach Khalaj. Ali Asgar Cemrasi has used a simple style in his works.
