Abstract
In our country, high antibiotic resistance rates, especially in hospitals, adversely affect patient care services. Controlling resistance requires not only infection prevention practices and control but also the implementation of antimicrobial stewardship programs in hospitals. This article addresses the general principles for establishing such a program and adapts the recommendations of international organizations to the conditions of our country.
