Abstract
Printmaking is a specific art discipline where limited amounts of prints are printed, numbered and signed by the artist (or in her/him guidance). This work focuses on the general outline of historical evolution of printmaking and the prominent artists in the field. Additionally, the practical fields of the printmaking, its' current state and its' relation with other art disciplines are considered by taking account of the examples from Turkey and the all over the world within a broad point of view.
