Abstract
Asthma and obesity are two of the most common chronic health conditions in children, showing a parallel rise in prevalence over the last several decades. The parallel increase of obesity and asthma diseases shows that these two diseases may be related to each other. Today, there are many studies that can explain the relationship between obesity and asthma, including epidemiological, physiological, mechanical, immunological, genetic and environmental factors, but the relationship between obesity and asthma has not been fully explained yet. This relationship is evaluated as multifactorial with the studies conducted in recent years. The result of this is multifactorial for the work done in recent years has emerged as a different asthma phenotypes of asthma associated with obesity concept. In this review, the steps of this multifactorial relationship between asthma and obesity are tried to be explained. Uncovering all the factors of this multifactorial relationship will help to apply more specific treatment methods in the treatment of obesity-related asthma.
