Abstract
In this study, we examine the way children think about scientists and their inventions, and investigate whether there are differences between their thinking before and after interventions with the method of dramatization. To accomplish this task, we designed a 4-hours long creative educational dramatization program and applied it to the participants. 98 six year old children who were enrolled in preschool programs in Ankara participated in the study,. This study consisted of 4 hours of workshop activity over 4 weeks. The study engaged five groups of preschoolers with pre- and post-activity surveys. In order to measure the differences between the way children think about 'Scientists', we gave the survey to each child before and after the dramatization activities. At the end of the study, we observed significant differences in favor of the in children's answers to the post-activity survey questions. According to the findings of the study, it is said that the participants have ideas about scienstists and their invention through creative drama method.
